“Dadi Adriatic LNG Recreational centre” opens up in Adria: an initiative supporting families of children with disabilities
On 27th May “Dadi Adriatic LNG Recreational centre ” opened up in Adria. Managed by Down Dadi Association, this new welcome space provides support to families who raise children with learning disabilities. The aim of the initiative is to help children with disabilities in the process of society integration. Adriatic LNG has decided to support the realization of the recreational centre, in line with other solidarity projects already supported in Polesine.
“Dadi Adriatic LNG Recreational centre” will host many projects, e.g. “Chiavi di Casa – Città Facile” or “Ludoteca Dadi”, whose objective is encouraging kids’ autonomy and facilitating the communication between local health care and education facilities (paediatrics, child neuropsychiatry, school) in order to make the support more efficient. The recreational centre’s goal is to create a social inclusion context; the structure mainly provides services for children between the age of 0 and 9 and their families: weekly meetings will be held for groups up to 5 families, who will be supported by psycologists and educators too.
The realization of “Dadi Adriatic LNG Recreational centre” has met local institutions’ enthusiasm: representatives of many institutions participated in the inauguration ceremony, including the Municipality of Adria, the City Hospital, the local Health Agency, the Comprehensive Schools 1 and 2, together with some families assisted by the Association.
As an integrated territorial company, Adriatic LNG has showed its interest in this initiative from the outset: that is why the recreational centre bears its name.
The support to the non-profit association “Down Dadi” is part of Adriatic LNG social activies, which also include among others the support to voluntary associations of Porto Tolle (“Luce sul mare” and “I Calabroni”), the support to ANT Foundation for cancer prevention, the support to the Italian Federation of Blood Donors Associations (FIDAS) and the donations to Porto Tolle Civil Protection and to San Giusto Salesian education centre in Porto Viro.
