The company

Terminale GNL Adriatico Srl, also known as Adriatic LNG, operates the regasification LNG terminal located offshore Italy, in the northern Adriatic Sea.

Founded on May 2, 2005 and now owned by VTTI and Snam, Adriatic LNG is today a fixture of the Italian industrial landscape, with over 100 employees located in three sites: Milan, Rovigo and the offshore terminal.

Adriatic LNG terminal  became operational in the second half of 2009, and its maximum authorized regasification capacity of 9.6 billion cubic meters per year (about half of nationwide LNG import capacity) can guarantee about 14% national consumptions

Eliminating the necessity of a direct pipeline connection with production sites, the regasification plant enables Italy to increase the sources of its energy supply, importing Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG); primarily from Qatar but also from other geographical areas provided with liquefaction plants.
