Adriatic LNG joins the 2017 Milan Marathon
With four teams and sixteen athletes, Adriatic LNG participated in the relay race of the Milan Marathon, the running event that in the seventeenth edition has obtained a record attendance of over 5,000 runners.
At the 2017 Milan Marathon, Adriatic LNG’s employees combined the sport challenge with a social challenge. Since 2010, in fact, marathon and relay runners have the opportunity to support one of the non-profit organizations that are part of the Charity Program, helping to raise funds for social projects.
For several years now, Adriatic LNG has chosen to run the Milan Marathon with ACRA, a non-governmental organization engaged in reducing poverty through sustainable and innovative solutions. This year Adriatic LNG will contribute to the development of toilet facilities in the Primary School of Malhazine, in Maputo (Mozambique), improving the living conditions of 2,785 pupils.
Thanks to this fundraising activity, in recent years, Adriatic LNG has contributed to several solidarity initiatives such as a project to ensure access to drinking water in two villages in Congo and a project to ensure adequate toilet facilities in Bagamoyo School, in Maputo.
