“Contractor Safety Forum”: an event organized by Adriatic LNG to share, raise awareness, and promote a safety culture

Rovigo, 27th February 2025 – The 2025 edition of the "Contractor Safety Forum" was held today at the Bisaglia Hall of the Censer in Rovigo. Organized annually, the event serves as an opportunity for meeting with the safety managers of the companies working with Adriatic LNG.

The event saw the participation of 20 contractors, gathering over 50 professionals, who were involved, together with Adriatic LNG employees, in a morning of dialogue and constructive discussion, sharing best practices in risk prevention and workers safety.

Alfredo Balena, Director of External and Institutional Relations at Adriatic LNG, stated: "Safety is not just a priority for Adriatic LNG, but the core principle that guides every action we take. It has been over 5 years since we last had an incident at our work sites, but that is not enough for us: we continue to place the utmost attention on the analysis of near-misses, examining the circumstances and investigating the causes. These findings then become an integral part of our training plans and are shared with those who work with us. Additionally, we aim for strong involvement from our suppliers, with the specific goal of jointly developing business processes that ensure increasingly higher safety standards: the Contractor Safety Forum therefore represents an important opportunity for dialogue with our suppliers."

Even this year's edition aimed to experiment with innovative and creative tools and languages as an additional means of raising awareness on workplace safety issues. In the afternoon, the Forum hosted the play “Remember to Live (the Last Hearing)”, written and performed by the Rossolevante, a theatre company active for years in producing theatrical plays, short films, and animations focused on social issues.

"Based on a true story, the play actively engaged the audience in a tense and emotional setting. It struck a chord with everyone present, evoking deep reflection and emotions. As a matter of fact, building a true safety culture requires active, heartfelt personal participation: emotions are the fastest route to imprinting the concept that we are all safety leaders into hearts and minds" - explained Balena.

The event saw the participation of several local institutions, including the Prefect of Rovigo, Franca Tancredi, the President of the Province, Enrico Ferrarese, the Commander of the Chioggia Coast Guard, Alessio Palmisano, and the Deputy Commander of the Fire Brigade, Fabio Callegari.

"Theatre is not merely entertainment but an experience meant to engage, move, and stimulate reflection - commented Juri Piroddi, artistic director of Rossolevante. Through productions like this, we aim to encourage the audience to reflect on their daily behaviours and the world around them, transforming safety from an abstract concept into awareness and, consequently, into concrete actions. Theatre has always existed and remains a powerful tool, capable of touching the conscience and heart of everyone, stimulating not just listening but active participation."
